What is a research signal?

A research signal is a ranked watchlist candidate generated from a transparent factor model combining Quality (profitability, balance-sheet strength), Value (estimated intrinsic value vs price), and Momentum (price trend). It is a research tool, not a buy/sell recommendation or investment advice.

How does the factor model work?

The model scores stocks on three dimensions: Quality (ROE, debt levels, earnings consistency), Value (margin of safety vs estimated intrinsic value), and Momentum (12-1 month price trend with crash protection). Stocks scoring high across all three surface as research candidates to investigate further.

What filters and risk context are applied?

The research view applies an Altman Z-Score filter (flags bankruptcy risk), market-regime context (highlights elevated-risk periods), and transaction-cost and turnover awareness, so the watchlist is not dominated by noise.
